Frequently Asked Questions

Help with alerts, item filters, and Discord notifications.

What does Dark Market Watch do?

Dark Market Watch checks Marketplace listings and Trade Chat items against your saved alerts, then sends matching items to you on Discord. Marketplace alerts can include a price limit. Trade Chat alerts use the item, rarity, and stats without a price filter.

Do I need to leave Live Trade Chat on?

No. Saved alerts run in the background, even when the website is closed. The switch only controls the chat shown on this page. Chat starts off and refreshes every six seconds while it is on and the Trade Chat tab is visible.

Will the same Trade Chat item alert me every time it is reposted?

The same seller and item can trigger each saved alert once every 30 minutes. Changed item stats or a different seller can trigger a new match. Messages posted before you created the alert are ignored.

Can a built-in stat also be a rolled attribute?

No. Built-in stats are listed under Base stats. Each rolled attribute can be selected once, and the number of rolls depends on the item and rarity.

Does Dark Market Watch buy the item for me?

No. It only notifies you. You must open the game marketplace and complete any purchase yourself. A listing may be gone by the time you check it.

How does Market Watcher billing work?

Market Watcher is US $4.99 per month, billed in advance and automatically renewed monthly until you cancel. The checkout page repeats the price and renewal terms before payment.

How do I cancel or request a refund?

Use Manage billing on the signed-in dashboard to open the Stripe Customer Portal. Cancellation stops the next renewal and access continues through the paid period. There is no automatic prorated refund for unused time. For duplicate charges or material service failures, contact support@darkmarketwatch.pro.

How does Dark Market Watch determine which stat came from a gem?

Marketplace listings provide final attributes and socketed gem IDs but do not directly pair each gem with one attribute. Dark Market Watch compares each displayed stat with the correct gem color and the local natural and gem roll ranges, then evaluates every valid one-to-one assignment.

Gem assignment is used only for Empty Socket occupancy. If valid assignments cannot all prove an empty slot, the listing is rejected conservatively.

Why did an item fail to alert me?

An item may have a different rarity, a missing stat, a value below your minimum, gems when you selected No gems, or a Marketplace price above your limit. An item can also appear between scans. Trade Chat alerts only match captured item links with enough information to check your filters.

Why do I need to sign in with Discord?

Discord sign-in identifies which alerts belong to you and where notifications should be delivered. Dark Market Watch does not ask for your Discord password.

What information is saved?

The service stores your Discord account identifier with your saved alert settings. Temporary session information keeps you signed in. See the Privacy Policy for details about owner review copies and alert reports.

How do I delete an alert or request deletion of my data?

Delete individual alerts from the dashboard. For a broader data request, contact privacy@darkmarketwatch.pro or the Dark Market Watch Discord and be prepared to verify the Discord account involved.

Is Dark Market Watch official?

No. Dark Market Watch is an independent, unofficial fan service. It is not endorsed by or affiliated with Ironmace, Dark and Darker, DarkerDB, or Discord.
